Children's Sacramental Program

Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation is offered by the parish for all children of eligible age regardless of which school they attend. This program is supported by Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School and places a strong emphasis on family involvement.

Sacramental Program 2010

First Eucharist

The Sacrament of First Eucharist will be celebrated on the weekend of 5 & 6 June 2010.

Preparation involves four after-school sessions (45 minutes each) for candidates and parents on Thursdays 6, 13, 20 & 27 May in the Carmelite Hall, Middle Park and participation in four special rituals during the 6.00pm Mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Middle Park on Saturday 1, 8 & 15 May.

Parent Information Night: Wednesday 21 April (7.30-9.00pm) in the Pilkington Room at the Carmelite Hall, 214 Richardson Street, Middle Park. At least one parent must attend.

Mass of Enrolment: 6.00pm Saturday 1 May at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Middle Park.

Program Cost: $20 per candidate to cover administration and resources.

Enrolments close: 5.00pm Monday 19 April 2010

Please return the form  to the Parish Office, Level 1, 189 Rouse Street, Port Melbourne Vic 3207. If you child was NOT baptised at either St Joseph's, Port Melbourne or Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Middle Park, please include a copy of his/her Baptismal Certificate (available from the Church where the child was baptised).

Confirmation

The preparation program for the Sacrament of Confirmation will begin in September.
